The AD9748 is the 8-bit member of the new third generation family in the TxDAC product line. This new family includes the AD9744 (14-bit), AD9742 (12-bit), and AD9740 (10-bit) high-speed TxDAC converters with a maximum sampling rate of 210 MSPS.
The TxDAC product line is optimized for the transmit signal path of communications systems. All of the devices, including the first two generations, share the same interface options, small outline package and pinout, providing an upward or downward component selection path based on performance, resolution, and cost. The AD974x family has lower power dissipation than previous generations, making all three converters suitable for portable and low power applications.
TxDAC is a registered trademark of Analog Devices.
At least one model within this product family is in production and available for purchase. The product is appropriate for new designs but newer alternatives may exist.
