The ADM8710 incorporates two internally pretrimmed undervoltagethreshold options for monitoring 1.8 V and 3.3 V supplyvoltages. It also offers two adjustable inputs with 0.62 V internalreference, allowing users to program the reset threshold throughexternal resistor dividers. The combination of pretrimmed andadjustable inputs gives the ADM8710 the advantage of beingboth space saving and flexible.
If a monitored power supply voltage falls below the minimumvoltage threshold, a single active low output asserts, triggering asystem reset. The output is open drain with a weak internalpull-up to the monitored IN2 supply of typically 10 μA. Whenall voltages rise above the selected threshold level, the RESETsignal remains low for the reset timeout period. The ADM8710output remains valid as long as IN1 or IN2 exceeds 1 V.
Unused monitored inputs should not be allowed to float or tobe grounded. Instead, connect them to a supply voltage greaterthan their specified threshold voltages.
The ADM8710 is available in a 6-lead SOT-23 package. Thedevice operates over the extended temperature range of −40°Cto +85°C.
