The HMC543ALC4B is a 4-bit digital phase shifterwhich is rated from 8 to 12 GHz, providing 0 to 360degrees of phase coverage, with a LSB of 22.5degrees. The HMC543ALC4B features very lowRMS phase error of 4 degrees and extremely lowinsertion loss variation of ±0.8 dB across all phasestates. This high accuracy phase shifter is controlledwith complementary logic of 0/-3V, and requires nofixed bias voltage. The HMC543ALC4B is housed ina compact 4x4 mm ceramic leadless SMT packageand is internally matched to 50 Ohms with no externalcomponents. Simple external level shifting circuitrycan be used to convert a positive CMOS controlvoltage into complementary negative control signals.
